Individuals need strategies and tools to understand the world. A foundational cornerstone of the educational curriculum has been removed from the Spanish educational system, one that provided a basis for individuals to develop their own strategies and "coping mechanisms." Reading classical literature helps to “re-sensitize” individuals to the harsh world around us.
